The cedar wood canoe carving at the Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre. On a sunny Spring season day I visited my friends at the base of Blackcomb mountain in Whistler for a nice wood carving photo. They are carving a solid cedar wood canoe in front of the Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre. Using special tools and decades of local native carving knowledge they create these magnificent solid wood canoes.
