The fashion show at the World Ski and Snowboard Festival is always a great event to cover when working as a photojournalist for the newspapers and travel guides. These photos are from the 2011 fashion show that was held in Whistler village at the Whistler Conference Centre. It was a great event with excellent of mountain style and live music performances. On this photo shoot I was using the new Canon 5D camera body and the 2.8 f stop 16 to 35 MM wide angle lens. The 2.8 lens allows a good amount of event light to enter the lens which makes it possible to shoot in such low lighting with fast moving models. This is an annual event that I cover in Whistler village during each spring season when the festival closes out the main ski and snowboard season at the resort.
